Windows media player file extension?

i've got a film with the extension .001 and i cant get it to play on wmp and divx. help me plz

File extensions ranging from .001 to .0?? are used by fresh download for file splitting during download. the number of files depends on the number of splits, 5 splits will have 001 through 005. this program registers itself and may replace the default file extension for 001 used by some programs.

Just change the .001 to the wmplayer or divx extension, whichever one you want.I'm sure one or the other will work. People often change the extension to disquise their file or to get it past certain barriers.Just don't make it an "exe" or "vbs", because they could contain a virus that could harm your system.

Go to folder options and choose"show extention" if you don't see it.Then just change it.It'll ask if your sure,just say yes.It will probably be a partial file, but you should still see it.
